The use of headphones is discouraged in the races for safety reasons.
Walkers are invited to participate in either race. Walkers in the half marathon should note that the course will be closed in stages, with the entire course being closed after 3 hours. If you maintain a pace slower than 15 minutes per mile, you may be asked to move to the sidewalk. The finish line will remain open until all participants have completed the course, however.

Post-race showers will be available at the Germantown Athletic Club.
Carbo Load...Reload
A 15% discount is offered for pre-race carbo loading or post-race carbo reloading at The American Cafe which is located at Saddle Creek South, 2055 West Street, Germantown, TN 38138. Call 753-3651 for reservations and directions.
There will be 6 Aid Stations on the courses.They are located at miles 1 1/2 in both races and 4, 6, 8, 9 1/2 and 10 3/4 in the half marathon. Clear Mountain Spring Water will be available at all aid stations along with Gatorade Endurance.
There will be a display clock @ each mile of both races.

Net timing for both Germantown Half Marathon & Mayor's Cup 5K. D-tag required for timing. No return necessary.

ChronoTrack Disposable D-Tag timing (NEW!):
The Germantown Half Marathon & Mayor's Cup 5K will be timed using ChronoTrack
D-Tag disposable chips. You will receive your timing chip when you pick up your race bib. It will be the orange strip attached to your bib. You will need to detach the strip and loop through (2) shoelaces.
